Mark Green began cooking at an early age in the kitchen of his childhood home in Glen Clove, Long Island. During his teenage years, he took a steady job at the local Ben’s Kosher Deli as a cook. Mark attended Culinary School in New York.
Following his graduation, Mark worked as a chef for Club Mediterranean Resorts in the Caribbean & Key West, Aruba and New York. He then went on to work as a chef for Richmond Kosher Catering.
In 2000, Mark partnered with Mr. Naiman and Mr. Goldberg to create Brooklyn’s first premier glatt kosher steakhouse. Over the past nineteen years Mark has headed Glatt A La Carte’s kitchen staff as executive chef.
At 58 Mark lives in Oceanside, NY with his wife Raziel, daughter Malaya and son Hayden. The care that Mark puts into every Glatt A La Carte meal reflects the meals he cooks for his extended family of 40+ members for each holiday.
